Bookkeeping Hub

Terms of service

Last updated October 24, 2026

These terms govern your use of Bookkeeping Hub (the "Service"), operated by House Freeman ("we", "us"). By signing in you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you agree on its behalf.

Access

The Service is private and available only to people invited by a company's owners. Owners decide who can see each company's books and at what role, and can remove access at any time. Do not share your sign-in, two-factor codes or recovery codes, and tell us or an owner promptly if you think your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

Your data

Each company owns the financial records kept for it in the Service. We use that data only to provide the Service, as described in the privacy policy. Owners can export reports and records at any time.

Connected services

When a company connects Google, Mercury, Ramp, Plaid, Make.com or another service, that service's own terms also apply. The Service reads data from them. It does not move money: bills are recorded and matched to payments made outside the Service.

Not professional advice

The Service is a tool for keeping books. Reports, AI suggestions, currency conversions and 1099 forms it produces are aids and may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing them and for your tax filings and financial decisions. Consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser where appropriate.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service running and the data backed up, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change or discontinue features. If the Service is discontinued we will give owners a reasonable opportunity to export their data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.

Ending access

You can stop using the Service at any time. We or a company's owners may suspend or end your access, for example if you leave the organization or breach these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes will be resolved in its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
